 In this page we discuss about parenting, it is the process of promoting and supporting the physical ,emotional, social and intellectual development of a child from infancy to adulthood

 


It refers to the aspects of raising a child aside from the biological relationship. Parenting is usually done by the biological parents of the child in question although government and society take a role as well.

PARENTING defers from CHILD REARING in that in child rearing the emphasis is on the act of training and bringing up the children and the interaction between the parent and child, while parenting emphasizes the responsibility and qualities of exemplary behaviour of the parent.

  CHILD DEVELOPMENT As children develop from infants to teens to adults they go through a series of developmental stages that are important to all aspects of their personhood including physical, intellectual, emotional and social. The proper role of the parent is to provide encouragement , support , and access to activities that enable the child to master key development tasks.
